In our search for the perfect bag, we scoured the web for the best sources of custom bags. Laudividni, Elemental Threads and ArtBag are our top choices, as they all have the right essentials that make a shopping site reliable. Their design studios, where you create the design of your own bag, are all sophisticated, refined and easy to use even for first timers. They also have the most stylish selections among the bunch, from bags that boast fine leathers to trendy designs like animal prints and colorways that are right on trend. Prices are very reasonable, considering their products have great quality.
LoveLee Studio and Lill Studio also faired high in our review. Their bags are not as sophisticated as our top three choices because they specialize more in fun prints and bold designs. We are, however, very impressed with their customization process because unlike most of the sites we have seen, their studio provides the most freedom in terms of customization.
For those who are willing to splurge, consider Longchamp and Mel Boteri. We found out that these two sites have some of the priciest custom bags but they do make up for the bag’s great quality and style. There are not as many custom bag options because only the Le Pliage and Le Cabas models are customizable. Also, take note that Mel Boteri’s design studio is not as seamless and sophisticated as the other sites we’ve reviewed.
Timbuk2 is a specialty site that caters to sports-minded customers who are looking for messenger bags. Their bags are also a little pricey but boast great quality and the site is equipped with an efficient, state of the art design studio. Additionally, there is a good range of options available.
Affordable Custom Bags
The two sites that offer the cheapest custom bags in the market are Paul Julia Designs and Bags-Purses-Totes. These sites have several options that are under $50 and both of them also have a fast-average turnaround time. However, they are at the bottom of our list because of the somewhat outdated bag styles , poor website interface and layout. Most of the bags from these two sites are themed and can be a bit loud and overbearing. Bags-Purses-Totes specializes more in party/event favor bags. Additionally, they are not equipped with a nice design studio, making the DIY design process a little complicated and unfortunately, uneventful.
